File:Meleys and Rhaenys at the Battle fo Rook´s Rest.jpg

"Back when I started this series late last year, my original idea to depict this duo in was during Rhaenys' wedding, when she arrives on the back of Meleys. Since I ended up covering that scene outside this series - on my 9 Fanart Challenge - the other big moment for them was, of course, Rook's Rest.

As I'm avoiding depicting direct dragon fights that would take away the protagonism of the duo being highlighted, I chose the inital part of the Battle of Rook's Rest, when Rhaenys arrives on Meleys and rains fire down on the Green forces."
