Maron Martell's son was the eldest child and heir of Maron Martell, Prince of Dorne, and his wife, Princess Daenerys Targaryen.[2]

History

The eldest son of Prince Maron and Princess Daenerys was their heir,[2] and he had multiple younger siblings,[3] including at least one brother and at least two sisters. After observing the children at play in the Water Gardens, his mother came to the realization that she could not tell the high-born children from the low-born and concluded that all the children were deserving of long life, love, and protection. Showing her son the children in the Water Gardens, Daenerys told him that they were his realm and he must remember them in everything that he did.[2] As the heir, he presumably succeeded his father as Prince of Dorne.

A Dance with Dragons

His descendant, Prince Doran Martell, tells the tale of Daenerys's lesson for her son to his niece, Obara Sand. He also tells her of how that lesson was passed through the generations of House Martell, and that his own mother repeated the same words to him in his youth when he was old enough to leave the pools.[2]
