Nicol was a maester of the Citadel who wrote the book The Measure of the Days in which he argued that seasons of the world might once have been of regular length.[1]
Behind the Scenes
Nicol and his Measure of the Days is a reference to Nicolaus Copernicus and his On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres.
