A Game of Thrones
Following King Robert I Baratheon's death at the hands of a boar, the singer made a song about Robert fighting with a pig, which he sang in a tavern. Having been accused of ridiculing the late King Robert, he was brought to the court, where Robert's son, King Joffrey, commanded him to perform the song, which Sansa Stark thinks is funny. Despite weeping and swearing he would never sing it again, Joffrey gives him one day to choose between keeping either his fingers or his tongue.[1]
Quotes
It was sort of a funny song, all about Robert fighting with a pig. The pig was the boar who'd killed him, Sansa knew, but in some verses it almost sounded as if he were singing about the queen.[1]

Game of Thrones
In the television adaptation Game of Thrones, this happens to Marillion, played by Emun Elliott, who sings a mocking song about Robert Baratheon in which he insinuates that the Lannisters are involved in Robert's demise. For this, Joffrey sentences him to choose between losing his fingers or his tongue, which is cut from his mouth by Ser Ilyn Payne.[2]
