Was this part of the Faith Militant uprising? One would think that the Faith would try to use Aegon against Maegor, though Aegon was incestuously married and Maegor polygamous. Then again maybe not. "Fire and Blood" live-reads seem to go into more detail about this, we'll have to see.--The Dragon Demands 03:42, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

It doesn't seem to have been the case that this battle was part of the Faith Militant uprising.. This was a battle between nephew and uncle, a fight for the throne, which Aegon lost. The Faith was against Aegon's marriage to Rhaena to begin with. In fact, his marriage was the reason the Faith rebelled. It would be strange if they suddenly joined forces, especially seeing how Aenys' reign ended (with Aegon being besieged by the Faith Militant)--Rhaenys_Targaryen 23:07, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
