Pregnant Women

The article is a bit confusing with regard to pregnant women and carts. First it claims that "A pregnant woman is expected to ride on horseback almost up to the moment of birth" and goes on to clarify that "women in childbirth" are transported in carts. Later, however, it's claimed that "women with child" (which normally means pregnant women) can ride in carts. Which is correct?

As far as I know, the only real-life culture where pregnant women were regularly forced to ride on horseback, was the Comanche. However, this resulted in a huge number of miscarriages and a shrinking population, which was one of the main reasons the Comanche were so eager to capture and adopt women and children from their neighbors. It seems strange that the Dothraki, who seem to have a large (given their way of life) and fairly stable population, would be followers of the same custom. Maitreya 08:27, 2 September 2013 (UTC)

It seems that booth statements are sourced (Chapters 54 and 36 respectively of A Game of Thrones). That would mean that booth are correct; the wiki should not "edit" the books. The only thing we could do is notice the contradiction.Scafloc 06:27, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
