Numeric

Why is his numeric regarded as uncertain here? His successor was Monfryd I, and after Monfryd came Durran XI (there were no kings in-between). Therefore he is undeniably Durran X. --Potsk (talk) 02:16, 9 April 2019 (UTC)

That is what is written in the book. I can see two possibilities here: Although no king in-between is mentioned, the histories could be uncertain if there was another king named Durran between Monfryd's father and son. So they would know that Monfryd's son was the eleventh of his name, but not if Monfryd's father was actually the tenth. Or they are just not sure about Durran XI as well and only call him like that because they think the Durran before was the tenth. The Wondering Wolf (talk) 07:12, 9 April 2019 (UTC)
