Layout

I don't think that is very comprehensible. The current approach to have two lines (the main line and Tytos siblings) seems ok to me. I think it would be even more clear if we make them completely separate while adding where they come together (Tytos' father). In the House Lannister article then we could have two paragraphs for the family; main line and cadet branch. Scafloc 19:47, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

I like your idea to septate the trees, it would seem to make it more comprehensible, the only issue I can see with it is the 'Joanna Lannister' link. As for my suggestion, it was mostly about rearranging the main line vertically, which seems more organized to me this way, but I am mainly trying to brain storm new ideas, to improve our trees, so obviously most of them will be shoot down. Labels

I think that adding the House to to Robert I, Joffrey I and Tommen I cells (like with Myrcella Baratheon) would improve the tree. --Mor 22:17, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

World Book info

Why are the new Lannisters (Sarelle etc.) bold? And, it seems to be preferred to wait with adding World book info to the wiki until the book itself is released.--Rhaenys_Targaryen 21:39, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

The bold part is a mistake on my part, my apologies! As for the World book info, I was under the impression that a reading done by GRRM was considered canon, despite the info not being released yet. Coming from the mouth of GRRM himself, they're not spoilers. If I'm wrong on this, I'll rollback my contributions. It was eagerness on my part :) Dade 12:46, 4 June 2014 (UTC)

IMHO, the well documented readings from GRRM should be considered semicannon, and we include plenty of semicannon information in the wiki (such as the shields and words of the arms of many minor houses). So as long as we explan in the text that it's information from a reading and that is bound to change, I don't see the problem with it. --The hairy bear (Send me a raven) 12:53, 4 June 2014 (UTC)

There recently was a discussion on the wiki-subforum, where it was discussed how info from samples (World book, taken as example there) should be handled. I'm not sure how info from a reading falls under this. Personally, I feel like updating a family tree wouldn't be a problem, but for example, placing pieces of text on newly created pages for the characters mentioned there only, is something that might be best to wait with, since we know notes contain errors, and as has been said, until the book is actually printed, there are still things that can change. I hadn't read the forum discussion but I did now and I can see the points made on the forum. So I'll leave this tree online seeing as it only gives names but I'll rollback on Gerold Lannister (you've done Tybolt already) and I'll delete Sarelle Lannister as both articles are filled with World book info.
