From A Wiki of Ice and Fire
The Edge of the World is a collection of tales and legends collected by Maester Balder, who served in the Night's Watch at Eastwatch-by-the-Sea. The book is the chief source for information on Skagos available to Westeros. It was written during the sixty-year rule of Osric Stark as Lord Commander of the Night's Watch.[1]
