Hi, saw that you were working on some templates. Is it to replace the table in the chapter articles? Would be great it we could change though I think it is difficult. I did not succeed in that myself so it is all "hard coded". Cheers, Scafloc 04:34, 19 June 2011 (CDT)

Hi,
yes, that was the idea. I'm not yet finished though, you can see to the right what I ended with yesterday.
I'm not sure what information should be listed there. What I'd certainly want to add is a link to the character page, and a link to the previous and next article of that POV (i.e. Bran II in the example to the right; I may need to reorganize the data a bit for that).
How attached are you to showing all those coat of arms in the infobox? I was thinking that they are a bit much. Maybe only show the heraldry of the POV character, to get at least one image in there?
And since you're here anyway maybe you can help me with another question: what is the standard naming convention for those special POV names (Alayne, Cat of the Canals, Arianne, Aeron)? Is A Feast for Crows-Chapter 23 referred to as Sansa II, Alayne I, or Alayne II? How about with the Dorne and Greyjoy chapters? The current infoboxes aren't quite consistent here (e.g. A Feast for Crows-Chapter 21 is "The Queenmaker", but A Feast for Crows-Chapter 40 is "Arianne 2"), so I'm not sure how they should be listed (and I haven't really been active in the forums since before AFfC came out).

Yes linking the chapters of the POV together sounds like a good idea. I only though about it after I had already create 75% of the chapters. Adding that would have been no problem if I had used a template. But like I said the only template I could picture was one where you still had to fill in all parameters. And to create the current chapter table I have loaded every in Excel. I only have to fill in book, POV and number of his chapter and then the table is ready including links and pictures.
I don't care much about the use of the coat of arms. Originally I had wanted to use pictures of the characters but at that time there were none. As there are pictures now maybe we could replace the coat of arms by picture of the characters?
About the naming convention: my preference is to follow the books. So after Sansa I (of AFFC) the next chapter of her character is Alayne. So Alyane I? Cheers,Scafloc 15:50, 19 June 2011 (CDT)
Thanks. I've put this to a wider forum now, at AWOIAF:Ideas#Chaptleser artic, before I really get into it. If you have the time it would be great if you could give some further input there. Anguy the Archer 09:17, 20 June 2011 (CDT)
To get more reaction it is probably better to put this on the forum in a new topic. On the Ideas article Pale Griffin will read it and may be ASHaber, but nobody else. Cheers,Scafloc 10:28, 20 June 2011 (CDT)
I started a discussion about chapter summaries of ADWD on the board. As you also have ideas about this it would be great if you could add your thoughts. Scafloc 13:28, 14 July 2011 (CDT)
Thanks, replied there. Anguy the Archer 17:08, 14 July 2011 (CDT)
