COA Icons

what do you want me to write in the description and licence for the files? --Mor 19:38, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

Description - I don't mind, if you make up something appropriate I will follow your lead with the ones I upload. Licence - Public domain Xert 19:42, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

Its up, see Category:Coat_of_arms_icons (there still 3 files showing as missing, they are not, it will update soon) --Mor 20:08, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

Thank you that is just great, and catergorised and so on too! Thanks for relieving me of this job. Cheers. If I may be so bold as to zip up another lot for you... just getting them in order now I will be in your debt.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/giph7ue0xdbn87z/Finished_Reach_North_Personal_Hedge_Knight.zip. Now and I can get on with the rest :) Xert 21:10, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

Done. Btw any thought what you want to do with icons? I was thinking we can spice up our family trees and maybe include them in the infoboxes. --Mor 05:29, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

Thank you. Yep those ideas are both great. I'm slowly working on two ideas on my user page: http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/User:Xert. I think the second, graphical tourney winner tables will be a simpler goal for me first though. Other places they counld be used are maps, or perhaps on http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/House_Words.

Use of COA Icons

You are doing a good job with those COA. I think they fit well with the Tourney entries, but we should avoid sandwiching text between COA and image overload by grouping the COA and adding them only at locations where they have added value to the article, for example see my change to Ashford_Tourney, I have reordered it and used the Template:COA to link the COA with house entries, what do you think?

Also I have high hopes to integrate the COA to the Family trees and Infoboxes, though as of yet I havent figured the best way to do this in a consistent manner, because of the huge verity of style used in our Family trees and the Infoboxes have their own problem, among them people raising objections to changing the agreed scheme. --Mor 08:46, 19 May 2012 (UTC)

Re: Ashford Tourney changes. Fair enough. Lining them up like that is certainly neater. It does make the bullet points pretty redundant though. That template will be useful, especially the link to the relevant house page. I still think that the 'other attendees' CoA are worth including: It often has as much relevance to the story line as who jousting e.g. Duncan the tall at Ashford, Lyanna Stark at Harrenhal, no Hand at Hand's Tourney and so on.

Re: Info boxes: I altered Elia Martell but you give good reason for changing it back. Cheers.

Re: Family trees; If you can get something to work and people to agree that's just fine with me. Xert 15:36, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
