Robb opens the series as a boy of fourteen years.{{Ref|AGOT|1}} His appearance favors his [[House Tully|Tully]] side, with blue eyes and thick red-brown hair.{{ref|AGOT|1}} When he grows a beard, it is redder than his auburn hair.{{ref|ACOK|7}} Fast{{Ref|AGOT|1}} and strong for his age,{{ref|AGOT|24}} Robb is more muscular than his half brother, [[Jon Snow]].{{Ref|AGOT|1}}

[[Arya Stark]] wants to be as strong as her oldest brother,{{ref|AGOT|22}}{{ref|ACOK|64}} and [[Sansa Stark|Sansa]] and Bran admire Robb's bravery.{{ref|ASOS|56}}{{ref|ASOS|59}} Robb and Jon Snow are best friends and constant companions.{{ref|AGOT|19}} Robb and [[Theon Greyjoy]], Eddard's ward and hostage, are friends, with Robb seeming to admire Theon{{ref|AGOT|37}} and Theon thinking of Robb like a younger brother.{{ref|ACOK|11}}
