==History==
Rossart was the [[Grand Master]] of the Alchemists' Guild during the reign of Aerys II, who granted him the title of [[Lord]] and a seat on the [[small council]]. He was also the pyromancer who had cooked Lord [[Rickard Stark]] in his armor,{{ref|ASOS|37}} and one of the key players in the [[wildfire plot]]. During the latter stage of [[Robert's Rebellion]], Lord [[Qarlton Chelsted]], the Hand of the King at that time, was burned alive by order of Aerys before the [[Battle of the Trident]], and after the battle the king made Rossart his new Hand.{{ref|ASOS|37}}{{ref|TWOIAF| The Fall of the Dragons: The End}} As his personal [[Heraldry|arms]] he chose a burning torch.{{ref|ASOS|11}}<ref>The Citadel. Heraldry: [http://www.westeros.org/Citadel/Heraldry/Other/2/ Personal Arms]</ref> As the [[Sack of King's Landing]] began, Rossart disguised as a common man-at-arms rushed to fulfill Aerys's command to burn the city down, but he was killed by Ser [[Jaime Lannister]] before he could carry out his orders, Rossart futilely tried to put up a fight.{{ref|ASOS|11}}

In the recorded history, the [[Maesters]], ignorant of the [[wildfire plot]] write that Rossart was killed while attempting to flee the castle. They do not even speculate who killed him and apparently no one even inquired.{{ref|TWOIAF| The Fall of the Dragons: The End}}
