Tyrosh and Lys are now on the verge of war with [[Myr]].{{ref|AFFC|13}} It is later rumored that the Archon had offered terms to Lys to end the trade war.{{ref|AFFC|24}}

In [[Dorne]], Prince [[Doran Martell]] reveals to his daughter, Princess [[Arianne Martell|Arianne]], that she would have been sent to Tyrosh to meet her betrothed, [[Viserys Targaryen]], and serve as the Archon's cupbearer, if not for the objections of her mother, [[Mellario]].{{Ref|AFFC|40}} As punishment for his involvement in Arianne's plot to crown [[Myrcella Baratheon]], [[Garin (orphan)|Garin]] from the [[Greenblood]] is to spend the next two years in exile in Tyrosh.{{Ref|AFFC|40}}

The ''[[Cinnamon Wind]]'' stops at Tyrosh's harbor during its journey to [[Oldtown]].{{ref|AFFC|35}} Near Oldtown, the captain of the ''[[Huntress]]'' tells Sam Tarly that [[ironborn]] captured a Tyroshi merchantman in the [[Redwyne Straits]]. They killed the ship's crew and disguised themselves as Tyroshi sailors intending to sneak into Oldtown. Their plot was foiled when the oarsmaster of ''[[Lady of the Tower]]'' hailed the ironmen in the [[Tyroshi language]] and they failed to reply to his greeting.{{Ref|AFFC|45}}

[[Tyrion Lannister]] meets "Griff" and "Young Griff", a father and son with dyed blue hair. Young Griff says his mother was Tyroshi, and they dye their hair in her memory.{{Ref|ADWD|8}} Later, Griff is revealed to be [[Jon Connington]], and Young Griff is revealed to be the disguised Prince [[Aegon Targaryen (Young Griff)|Aegon Targaryen]], who allegedly survived [[Aegon Targaryen (son of Rhaegar)|his reported death]] in the [[Sack of King's Landing]].{{Ref|ADWD|18}}{{Ref|ADWD|22}}

A [[dwarf]] [[dwarf juggler|juggler]] known to [[Penny]], who used to juggle for coins every day at the [[Fountain of the Drunken God]] in Tyrosh, is found beheaded and dismembered in the [[Temple of Trios]]. Penny and Tyrion feel certain that the juggler's head was taken to King's Landing for Cersei Lannister, who has put a bounty on Tyrion's head.{{ref|ADWD|33}}
