==History==
At the start of the [[Dance of the Dragons]], Lord [[Grover Tully]] wanted to support King [[Aegon II Targaryen]] and the [[greens]], but no word of support left [[Riverrun]]. Fearing the wroth of the [[dragon]]s that both the greens and [[blacks]] held, Ser Elmo kept the Tully banners at Riverrun. The Tullys finally joined the war in support of Queen [[Rhaenyra Targaryen]], after Ser [[Addam Velaryon]] visited Riverrun atop [[Seasmoke]], much to Lord Grover's wroth.{{Ref|FAB|The Dying of the Dragons - Rhaenyra Overthrown}} Joining Ser Addam's army, Elmo led the riverlords to victory at the [[Second Battle of Tumbleton]]. Grover passed away soon after the battle, with Elmo succeeding his grandfather as Lord of Riverrun. As the host of Lord [[Borros Baratheon]] began attacking the late Rhaenyra's loyalists around King's Landing, Elmo summoned the riverlords to war and marched a host of six thousand men towards the capital.{{Ref|TWOIAF|The Riverlands: House Tully}}{{Ref|FAB|The Dying of the Dragons - The Short, Sad Reign of Aegon II}}
