The narrow sea connects the [[Shivering Sea]] and the [[Bite]] in the north, the [[Sea of Dorne]] in the west, the [[Sea of Myrth]] in the east, and the [[Summer Sea]] in the south, which it is separated from by the island chain known as the [[Stepstones]].

Sources conflict regarding the boundaries of the narrow sea and the Shivering Sea. A semi-canon source states the Shivering Sea begins north of the [[Wall]],{{ref|AWOIAF|Shivering Sea}} and ''[[A Dance with Dragons]]'' has [[Eastwatch-by-the-Sea]] reporting of storms upon the narrow sea.{{ref|ADWD|10}} A semi-canon source also states that [[Widow's Watch]] is along the narrow sea.{{ref|AWOIAF|Widow's Watch}} Maester [[Yandel]], however, writes that [[Skagos]] and the [[Grey Cliffs]], regions of the [[north]] within the [[Seven Kingdoms]], are found along the Shivering Sea.{{ref|TWOIAF|Beyond the Free Cities: The Shivering Sea}} ''[[The Lands of Ice and Fire]]'' depicts the eastern coast of the north, including as far south as Widow's Watch, as being along the Shivering Sea, with the narrow sea beginning further south, with the [[Vale of Arryn]] to the west and the [[Braavosian Coastland]] to the east.{{ref|TLOIAF|The Known World}}

===Westeros===
Settlements near the narrow sea and the [[Shivering Sea]] along the eastern coast of the [[north]] include [[Eastwatch-by-the-Sea]] and [[Widow's Watch]].

Located in or near the [[Bite]] are the [[Three Sisters]], [[White Harbor]], [[Oldcastle]], and [[Ramsgate]].{{ref|TLOIAF|Westeros}}

West of the northern narrow sea is the [[Vale of Arryn]], which includes the [[Fingers]] and the [[Mountains of the Moon]]. Settlements of the [[Vale of Arryn (valley)|Vale]] along the sea include [[Old Anchor]], [[Runestone]], and [[Gulltown]].{{ref|TLOIAF|Westeros}}

Across the [[Bay of Crabs]] to the south is [[Crackclaw Point]] with the [[Whispers]] in the [[crownlands]]. Within the [[stormlands]], the isle of [[Tarth]] and the [[Straits of Tarth]] separate the narrow sea from [[Shipbreaker Bay]]. Located on Tarth is [[Evenfall Hall]]. South of Tarth on [[Cape Wrath]] are [[Rain House]] near the [[rainwood]] and the [[Weeping Town]], and nearby is [[Greenstone]] on the isle of [[Estermont]].{{ref|TLOIAF|Westeros}}

The [[Free City]] of [[Braavos]] is located in a lagoon in northwestern [[Essos]], where the narrow sea meets the [[Shivering Sea]].{{ref|TWOIAF|The Free Cities: Braavos}} South of Braavos is the [[Braavosian Coastland]], which stretches to [[Andalos]].{{ref|TLOIAF|The Free Cities}}

East from Massey's Hook across the narrow sea is the [[Bay of Pentos]], with the Free City of [[Pentos]]. Further south is the [[Sea of Myrth]] with the Free City of [[Myr]].{{ref|TLOIAF|The Free Cities}}

===Stepstones===
The [[Stepstones]], including [[Bloodstone]] and [[Grey Gallows]], divide the narrow sea from the [[Summer Sea]] to the south.
