At Winterfell, Bran Stark listens to Summer and Shaggydog howl, and wonders if they miss their brothers and sisters too, if they are calling to Grey Wind and Ghost and Nymeria and the ghost of Lady.{{Ref|ACOK|4}}

Sansa visits the [[godswood]] in the [[Red Keep]], and thinks Lady would have liked it there. When Ser [[Dontos Hollard]] offers to help her escape, Sansa is uncertain whether to trust him, and thinks of Lady and how she could smell lies.{{Ref|ACOK|18}}

King Joffrey, when threatening Sansa with a crossbow, tells her he has not forgotten how her direwolf assaulted him. Sansa protests that Lady never hurt him, but he killed her anyway.{{Ref|ACOK|32}}

Arya includes Queen Cersei and King Joffrey on her [[Arya Stark#Arya.27s prayer|death list]] for many reasons, but also for Lady's death.{{Ref|ACOK|36}} She is glad to hear that Castle Darry will be burned, because it was where Cersei had made her father kill Lady.{{Ref|ACOK|64}}
