==Behind the scenes==
In the earlier published Targaryen family tree as found in ''[[The World of Ice & Fire]]'', Princess Daenerys did not exist. While King Jaehaerys and Queen Alysanne still had thirteen children, their sixthborn child was Prince [[Aeryn Targaryen]],{{Ref|TWOIAF|Appendix: Targaryen Lineage}} who died young.{{Ref|TWOIAF|The Targaryen Kings: Jaehaerys I}} Besides Aeryn having been exchanged for Daenerys, several other children of Jaehaerys and Alysanne were shifted in their order of birth.<ref group="N">Prince [[Valerion Targaryen|Valerion]], originally Jaehaerys's and Alysanne's ninth child, and Princess [[Saera Targaryen|Saera]], originally their twelfth born child, have been switched in birth order, making Saera the ninth born and Valerion their twelfth born. Four other children have shifted in their birth orders as well. Princess [[Alyssa Targaryen|Alyssa]] was changed from the secondborn to the fifthborn, Princess [[Daella Targaryen (daughter of Jaehaerys I)|Daella]] subsequently from being the fifth born to the eighthborn child, and Princess [[Maegelle Targaryen|Maegelle]] from eighthborn to the sixthborn. Lastly, Prince [[Aeryn Targaryen|Aeryn]], originally the sixthborn, has been removed and replaced by Princess Daenerys, the secondborn child of the king and queen.</ref>
