History
Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen and her spouse, Prince Daemon Targaryen, landed in the outer yard of the Red Keep during the fall of King's Landing.[4]
Recent events
A Storm of Swords
Oberyn Martell represents Tyrion Lannister in a trial by combat held in the Red Keep's outer yard, but the Red Viper is slain by Ser Gregor Clegane.[3]
A Feast for Crows
During the wedding of Tommen I Baratheon and Margaery Tyrell, Cersei Lannister has had fifty pots of wildfire from the Alchemists' Guild placed in the Tower of the Hand. Interrupting the feast, an intoxicated Cersei has the attendees accompany her outside to the outer ward, so that Lord Hallyne of the alchemists can burn the Tower of the Hand.[5]
