House Farwynd of Great Wyk is a noble house from the Iron Islands. It has several branches distributed across the western part Great Wyk, some of the more distant with its seat on small islands up to nine days by sea.

Their shield is blazoned per fesse: below a black sea with crested line, a black longship, outlined against the setting sun, dark red on orange. Their motto has not appeared in the books.

[edit] The Farwynd House at the end of the third century

The only known Farwynd from the main branch during the timespan of the events described on A Song of Ice and Fire is Lord Triston Farwynd.

Also, from a lesser branch of the house that rules at the Lonely Light (a minor island at the west coast of Old Wyk), there is Lord Gylbert Farwyn and his sons Gyles, Ygon and Yohn.
