Alyn Haigh is the youngest son of Ser Leslyn Haigh and Perriane Frey. He has two older brothers; Ser Harys and Ser Donnel Haigh.

He is present when Roose holds a war council with the Freys after news of Stannis Baratheon's defeat by Tywin Lannister in the Battle of the Blackwater reaches the castle. When his elder brother Harys Haigh expresses doubt that Robb Stark would have a chance against Tywin, Harys looks to his brothers and cousins for support.^[3]^{[N 1]}
