The Bloody Caltrops was an inn within the town of Tumbleton during the Dance of the Dragons.[1] It is unknown if the inn survived until the reign of King Robert I Baratheon. It was probably named as a reference to the arms of House Footly, the rulers of the town.
History
[edit]The Bloody Caltrops survived the First Battle of Tumbleton during the Dance of the Dragons. Thirteen nobles from the Reach met in its cellar to discuss killing the Two Betrayers, Ser Ulf White and Ser Hugh Hammer, and claiming their dragons, Silverwing and Vermithor. The conspirators became known as the Caltrops because of the inn.[1]
