According to the brotherhood without banners, Lord Deddings and his wife were slain by the forces of House Lannister during the War of the Five Kings. Their deaths were among the murders Sandor Clegane was accused of by the brotherhood without banners, on account of his service to the Lannisters. Clegane denounced them as liars, as he had not personally committed the murder of Lord Deddings nor any of the others he was accused of.[1]
