Mollander, often called Hopfrog, is a novice at the Citadel.[1]
Appearance and Character
Mollander has thick arms and broad shoulders. He has a clubfoot, which prevents him from becoming a knight, like his father.[1]

A Feast for Crows
After Mollander heard his father was killed in the Battle of the Blackwater, he began drinking heavily. Because of his drinking, he is not a very good student.[1]
Mollander is one of the group that discusses the discovery of dragons. He gets very drunk and Roone has to help him walk back to the Citadel.[1]
Behind the Scenes
In an early draft of the prologue from A Feast for Crows, Mollander is named Meribald.[3] While writing the novel, George R. R. Martin also considered making Mollander the POV character for the prologue.[4]
