Recent Events
A Dance with Dragons
When free folk at Castle Black object to insufficient food given to them by the Night's Watch, Jon Snow, the new Lord Commander, has Rory quiet the tumult with his horn.[3]
Rory is among the rangers who escort Jon and the six new recruits of the Night's Watch who follow the old gods (Hareth, Arron, Emrick, Satin and the wildlings Leathers and Jax) to the grove of weirwoods in the haunted forest where they swear their vows. When they learn there are other wildlings in the grove, Jon has Rory and Pate stay behind with the horses while the rest investigate.[4]
Rory is is one of the rangers Jon has accompany him beyond the Wall to meet Tormund.[5]
Fulk the Flea and Mully stand guard when Jon informs the Shieldhall about the letter from Ramsay Bolton, and the two guards are replaced with Horse and Rory at the changing of the watch. Horse and Rory hurry after Jon when they hear screaming at Hardin's Tower. During the commotion, Jon is attacked in the mutiny at Castle Black. [6]
