Russell Stillman was the former squire of Lord Alyn Velaryon and the author of Hard as Oak.[1]

History
During Oakenfist's fifth voyage, Russell was knighted by Lord Alyn before losing a leg. He later wrote a book about Lord Alyn Velaryon's life called Hard as Oak. Archmaester Gyldayn considers this account to be colorful, but unreliable.[1]
