A smithy is a workshop where a blacksmith heats and works metal.

Smithyton is the seat of House Shermer in the Reach.[1]

History

[edit]

Journeymen and apprentices, such as Gendry, work in Tobho's smithy in his shop, a cavernous stone barn found in the narrow yard behind the house, with each corner of the building having a blazing forge.[8]
