The Sons of the Dragon (Gyldayn)

The Sons of the Dragon is a history of Kings Aenys I Targaryen and Maegor I Targaryen. It was written by Gyldayn, an archmaester of the Citadel in Oldtown. It uses Grand Maester Gawen as a source. A revised version of The Sons of the Dragon was included as a chapter of Gyldayn's history of House Targaryen, Fire & Blood,[1] but the ending of this version provides textual evidence that it was written as a separate, stand-alone work before this.[2]
