Tourney at White Harbor

A tourney at White Harbor was held in 58 AC.^[1]

History

In 58 AC, Lord Theomore Manderly held a small tourney at White Harbor to celebrate Queen Alysanne Targaryen's visit to the North and to show the prowess of his knights. One of the fighters was a woman, a wildling girl who had been fostered by one of Manderly's household knights. Queen Alysanne had her sworn sword, Jonquil Darke, duel her, swordman vs spearwife, to the approval of the northmen.^[1]

Aftermath

A few days after the tournament, Queen Alysanne convened a southron-style "women's court" in Lord Manderly's hall, at which more than two hundred women and girls gathered to share their thoughts, concerns, and grievances with the queen.^[1]
