New SVG symbols

Hi Abjiklam, do you intent on replacing the Essosi coins that are currently used as "coat of arms" for the Essosi characters by your new SVG symbols ? Have you already settled on which symbols to use for the remainder cities/cultures outside of Westeros ? Some suggestions I have:

• The Black goat for Qohor
• A Valyrian looking naked woman for Lys maybe next/on top of a bed to differentiate it from the Piper sigil (by the way since it is not specified in the text, would it not be more appropriate to have a redhead woman for the Pipers rather than a blonde ?)
• A Myrish eye or other glass related item for Myr
• A purple snail for Tyrosh
• Square towers for Pentos
• The harpy of Ghis atop a red/yellow/multi-color pyramid for Astapor/Yunkai/Meereen
• A colored feather cloak for the Summer Islands
• A butterfly for Naath. For the colors, maybe gold and black to fit with the golden eyes and dark skin of the Naathi.
• A river with a turtle for the Rhoynar
• A horse with tall grass for the Dothraki
• A sheep for the Lhazareen
• Etc.

Hi Thomaerys, yes I'd like to replace the Essossi coins for images that better match the other coas, but it might take me a while :). Thanks for your suggestions, I already had some ideas for some of them, but I hadn't yet found something for all the free cities and other locations! I think they all make sense. I'm not sure about the hair color for Piper/Lys. I guess we can give the Lys dancer silver hair instead of gold? Why is redhead more appropriate for Piper? The coins were a good place holder but not the best visuals to easily identified each Free Cities. Your symbols are a better solution I think. Because Pipers are red of hair. We do not know anything about the Piper's origin, we do not even know if this maiden was one of their ancestors or not. If she was, she most likely was a redhead too though. Lys is well know for their bedslaves and spymasters (Varys, Lysono Maar, all the intrigue and backstabbing during the Lysene Spring). It's a difficult thing to represent without looking like a copy of the Piper's COA that's why I raise the hair color idea. Ultimately, it's not important it is not like we don't already have canon COA who are similar to one another. --Thomaerys Velaryon (talk) 14:12, 17 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi, I saw you create symbols for the archmaesters as well as the Grand Maester. Since you recently edited the page for the High Septons, I was wondering if you would create a new symbol for them too ? House Glover, House Cerwyn, Jon Snow & House Mormont

Hi. Is it possible to change the fist in House Glover's COA? In the books the fist is described as a mailed glove, like this, but in AWOIAF it is erroneously depicted as a plate armour gauntlet. Thanks in advance. --Somnium Draconis (talk) 18:26, 1 July 2024 (UTC)

Hi. The color of the field in House Cerwyn's COA should be fixed. The field in File: House Cerwyn.svg appears as white, but the sources describe it as silver, like House Brax for example. Thanks in advance! --Somnium Draconis (talk) 17:22, 4 February 2025 (UTC)

Hi. House Mormont's COA should be changed, too. It has to be more similar to the version in the Citadel, as described by GRRM:"Here's an idea that might be interesting: make the field a series of broad horizontal stripes from top of bottom, but instead of straight lines, the dividers should be firtree lines. The colors should be a dark green alternating with a very pale green, as with the Jordayne checks. --Somnium Draconis (talk) 10:22, 28 April 2025 (UTC)

House Stane and Party per Chevron

Thanks for the previous edits! I have to point out other two heraldic inaccuracies I've discovered.

1) The bare, brown tree of House Stane is described as "driftwood", meaning a tree washed onto a shore or beach. Consequently, it cannot stand tall, as depicted in File: House Stane.svg, but must be horizontal, as this example, or slanting, as the Citadel version.

2) File: Heraldry - Party per chevron.svg should be made as a party per chevron inverted. In fact, in Westerosi heraldry the common chevron is always reversed, as shown here. --Somnium Draconis (talk) 15:41, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

House Sunderly
