Wyl is a young member of the household guard of Lord Eddard Stark at Winterfell.[1]

A Game of Thrones
Wyl is one of the guards that go south with Lord Eddard Stark when he is named Hand of the King. Jory Cassel, Heward and Wyl escort Eddard to a brothel to find one of Robert I Baratheon's bastards, Barra. On the return trip to the Red Keep, the three guards are slain by House Lannister guards under orders from Ser Jaime Lannister as a lesson to Eddard.[2]
