A handsome man, Euron is the most comely of the sons of the late Lord [[Quellon Greyjoy]].{{ref|AFFC|18}} He has pale skin, black hair, and a neat dark beard.{{ref|AFFC|18}}

Euron wears a black leather patch over his left eye,{{ref|AFFC|18}} and sometimes a red leather eyepatch.{{ref|AFFC|29}} He is nicknamed Crow's Eye, possibly because the leather patch conceals a "black eye shining with malice", per his nephew, [[Theon Greyjoy]].<ref>''[[The Winds of Winter]]'', [[Theon I (The Winds of Winter)|Theon I]]</ref> Euron's right eye is as blue as the summer sky and is called his "smiling eye".{{ref|AFFC|18}} Additionally, since Euron has begun drinking [[shade of the evening]], his lips have turned blue.{{ref|AFFC|29}}

Euron has a black reputation.{{ref|ASOS|45}} He is considered cunning{{ref|ACOK|24}} and mocking,{{ref|AFFC|18}}{{ref|AFFC|29}} and has a glib tongue.{{ref|AFFC|29}} The Crow's Eye is hated by his brothers [[Aeron Greyjoy|Aeron]],{{ref|AFFC|1}} who considers him [[god]]less, and [[Victarion Greyjoy|Victarion]], as Euron impregnated [[Victarion Greyjoy's third wife|his third wife]].{{ref|AFFC|18}}
