==History==
Ser Lyn won his [[knight]]hood during [[Robert's Rebellion]].{{Ref|AFFC|23}} At the start of the war, he fought for [[House Targaryen]] alongside Lord [[Marq Grafton]] against Lord [[Jon Arryn]] at the gates of [[taking of Gulltown|Gulltown]].{{Ref|AFFC|23}} After being pardoned, Lyn joined Jon against the Targaryens.{{Ref|AFFC|23}}

[[Lord Corbray (father of Lyonel)|Lyn's father]] was badly wounded during the [[Battle of the Trident]]. As [[Lyonel Corbray]] led their father back to the rear, Lyn took up the family's [[Valyrian steel]] longsword, [[Lady Forlorn]], led a charge on the [[Dornishmen|Dornish]] lines, and cut down the previously-wounded Prince [[Lewyn Martell]] of the [[Kingsguard]].{{Ref|AFFC|23}}

Honoring Lyn's achievements on the battlefield, his father bequeathed him Lady Forlorn upon his death. Lyn's elder brother, Lyonel inherited [[Heart's Home]] and the rest of the family estate and titles, but still resented the loss of the family blade.{{Ref|AFFC|23}}
