Clydas is a steward of the Night's Watch.
Appearance
Clydas is short, bald and chinless. He is considered ugly.[2] He has pink eyes and is hunched.[3] He has rounded shoulders.[4]
Jon Snow estimates him to be about 60-years-old. A few white hairs still cling to his scalp. [5]
History
He along with Chett helps tend to Maester Aemon's needs and helps with the ravens at Castle Black.
Recent Events
A Feast for Crows
When Aemon is sent away by Jon Snow, Clydas takes over the duties of tending to the ravens and the wounded.
A Dance with Dragons
Clydas received a letter entitled "Bastard" sealed with pink wax, the letter frightened him, even though he did not open it to read it. He quickly delivered it to Jon Snow[6]
