The Seneschal's Court is a hall within the Citadel of Oldtown. It is named after the Seneschal of the Citadel.
Layout
[edit]The hall has a stone floor and high, arched windows. There are benches along the wall and a raised dais at the far end. A door behind the dais leads to a turnpike stair.[1]
Outside of the Seneschal's Court are stocks in which novices can be locked by rectors and then pelted with rotting vegetables by acolytes.[1]
Recent Events
[edit]A Feast for Crows
[edit]After arriving at the Citadel, Samwell Tarly looks at a map at Scribe's Hearth for the fastest way to the Seneschal's Court so he can see speak with the Seneschal, who is now Archmaester Theobald. Once at the hall, Sam is forced to wait for hours by Lorcas. Alleras arrives and brings Sam to the Ravenry.[1]
Quotes
[edit]Samwell: How much longer will it be?
Lorcas: The Seneschal is an important man.
Lorcas: Then you will have no trouble going a bit farther. To that bench just there, beneath the window.[1]
Samwell: I came all the way from the Wall.
