Bywin Strong was a knight from House Strong and the Lord of Harrenhal. He was the first Strong to hold Harrenhal.[1]
Character
Bywin was a renowned knight, like his brother Ser Lucamore Strong of the Kingsguard.[1]
History
In 73 AC, after the death of the widowed Queen Rhaena Targaryen, who had resided at Harrenhal, her brother King Jaehaerys I Targaryen granted the castle to Bywin Strong.[1]
At the end of the year, it was discovered that Bywin's brother, Ser Lucamore of the Kingsguard, had disgraced his vows by marrying three times and fathering sixteen children. When matters were brought up to the king, Jaehaerys put Lucamore's first wife and their children in Lord Bywin's charge.[2]
By 105 AC, the lordship of Harrenhal had passed to Lyonel Strong.[3]
