An unnamed city of the Lamb Men,[1] also referred to as a town,[2] is a settlement inhabited by Lhazareen. It appears to be located in the southern Dothraki sea, north of the Skahazadhan.[3][4]
Layout
[edit]A road leads to the town, which has walls of dried mud and narrow, twisty lanes.[2]
The city's temple is a square, windowless building with thick mud walls and a bulbous dome. A series of anterooms lead to a high central chamber beneath the dome. Its altar is a massive, blue-veined stone upon which is carved images of shepherds with their flocks. Sheepskins are scattered on the temple's mud floor, a torches burn from sconces on its walls. Mirri Maz Duur is a godswife of the Great Shepherd at the temple.[2]
Rye and lentils are farmed near the settlement.[2]

[edit]The town comes under attack by the khalasar of Khal Ogo, who kill the sheep of the Lhazareen. During their assault, Ogo's Dothraki are attacked themselves by Khal Drogo's khalasar. Drogo slays Ogo and his son, Fogo, and most of Ogo's riders flee.[2]
The city's walls are broken, many houses are set aflame, at least one building collapses, and jaqqa rhan cut off the heads of the dead and dying. Drogo enslaves Ogo's remaining people as well as the terrified townspeople. Ser Jorah Mormont advises Drogo to sell the captives, who may number as many as ten thousand, in Meereen.[2]
When Daenerys Targaryen, Drogo's khaleesi, arrives, she objects to the raping of Lhazareen women by Drogo's riders. Daenerys claims the women she encounters, including Eroeh and Mirri Maz Duur, as her own slaves. Mirri treats Drogo's wounds in the city's temple,[2] which is then burned.[1]
