Elys Arryn was a noblewoman from House Arryn during the reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen.[2]
History
Elys was the eldest child of Lord Rodrik Arryn and his first wife. She had three siblings: a sister, Amanda and two brothers. After her mother died, her father married again to Princess Daella Targaryen, who was three years younger than her. The two of them clashed from the first.[2]
Queen Alysanne Targaryen visited the Eyrie when Princess Daella was pregnant. Elys was dismissive, telling the queen, "You would think she was the first woman ever to have a baby," for the princess burst into tears for the slightest reason, and sometimes no reason at all. Daella died in childbirth, giving Elys a younger half-sister, Aemma Arryn.[2]
