Gylbert Farman was a nobleman from House Farman of Fair Isle.[1]
History
Though the Farmans had ruled as petty kings of Fair Isle,[2] the island had fallen to the rule of the Iron Islands. As the power of the driftwood kings dwindled and the strength of the westerlands grew, Fair Isle was the first to break free from the Iron Islands when Gylbert Farman led the smallfolk of Fair Isle in an uprising to expel their ironborn overlords from their island.[1]
