Recent Events
A Clash of Kings
Ser Jorah Mormont brings Quhuru from the docks of Qarth to meet with Daenerys Targaryen. He comes to see her dragons. He in turn informs her that King Robert I Baratheon has died. After leaving Qarth he is off to do the traders' circle in the Jade Sea.[4]
A Feast for Crows
In Braavos, Samwell Tarly and Maester Aemon meet Xhondo, a mate of Quhuru's crew. Xhondo explains to them that he has heard about dragons and tells them about Daenerys. Xhondo's stories make Aemon strong enough to try the voyage with the Cinnamon Wind. In payment for the passage Captain Quhuru asks for the books Sam had brought with him. Quhuru knows he can sell the books for a good price to the maesters of the Citadel. Quhuru also wants Aemon's chain. Sam refuses to give the chain and after some haggling Quhuru is satisfied with some of their clothes instead.[3]
During the voyage from Braavos to Oldtown, Aemon spends most of his time under furs in the captain's cabin. The elderly maester eventually passes away. Normally the Targaryens burn their dead, but Quhuru does not allow this because of the danger for the ship. Aemon's body is instead stored in a cask of blackbelly rum.[3]
When the Cinnamon Wind is stopped by the Huntress in Whispering Sound, Quhuru and his daughter, Kojja Mo, allow their holds to be inspected.[1] Quhuru speaks with Ser Gunthor Hightower in his cabin when the Cinnamon Wind reaches Oldtown.[1]
Quotes
Daenerys: I wish you fair winds and good trading, then. You have brought me a precious gift.
Quhuru: I have been amply repaid, great queen.
Daenerys: How so?
Quhuru: I have seen dragons.
Daenerys: And will see more of them one day, I hope. Come to me in King's Landing when I am on my father's throne, and you shall have a great reward.[4]—Daenerys Targaryen and Quhuru
