Ryger Rivers is a bastard son of Walder Frey, Lord of the Crossing.

Ryger's mother was a peasant who milked goats before Lord Walder got her pregnant with Ryger.[1]

When Catelyn Stark comes to discuss terms with Lord Walder Frey over the crossing of the northern army at the Twins, he is rude to her. Ryger attempts to chastise his father for his discourtesy. Ryger is rudely told off, however.[1]
