Anya Weatherwax was a member of House Weatherwax during the reign of King Aegon III Targaryen.[2]
History
[edit]In 133 AC, the Maiden's Day Ball was held at the Red Keep to find a second wife and new queen for King Aegon III Targaryen. Many maidens across Westeros came to King's Landing in hopes of marrying the young king. However, the event was not a true ball, but merely a procession of maidens, each woman curtsying before the king while a herald announced her name and lineage. Anya, only seven years old, was one of these maidens. She informed King Aegon that her horse was named Twinklehoof, and that she loved him very much. When Anya asked the king if he had a good horse, Lord Unwin Peake, Hand of the King, grew impatient with her, telling Anya that "His Grace has a hundred horses".[2]
