Aemon Blackfyre was the second son of Daemon Blackfyre. He was Aegon Blackfyre's twin brother, the younger of the two. He squired for his father.[3]

Aemon was the second born of the children of Daemon Blackfyre. He had an older twin-brother, Aegon, and five younger brothers, Daemon, Haegon, Aenys Blackfyre, and two whose names are currently unknown. He also had at least two sisters.[4]

Aemon and his twinbrother Aegon liked to bully their brother Daemon and Daemon's friend Alyn Cockshaw.[4]

Aemon's younger brother Daemon had a prophetic dream about the deaths of Aegon and Aemon at the Redgrass Field, but Aegon and Aemon, not believing their brother, only laughed at Daemon.[4]Aemon was later indeed killed during the Battle of the Redgrass Field by Bloodraven's arrows, when he tried to take up the sword Blackfyre after his twin and his father had died.[3]

Quotes about Aemon

Aegon and Aemon. Wretched witless bullies, just like you. When we were little, they took pleasure in tormenting me and Daemon both.[4]

...I once dreamed of my brothers lying dead. They were twelve and I was only seven, so they laughed at me, and died.[4]

Young Aemon took up Blackfyre when the blade slipped from his dying father’s fingers, so Bloodraven slew him, too, the younger of the twins. Thus perished the black dragon and his sons.[3]
