Recent Events

A Clash of Kings

Gelmarr is a part of Theon Greyjoy's crew when it raids the Stony Shore and captures Winterfell. When Bran and Rickon Stark go missing, Gelmarr is a part of the search party.[1] Gelmarr, along with Aggar and Gynir, goes with Theon and Reek to the mill at the Acorn Water, where he kills the miller's wife with his axe.

After the search party returns to Winterfell with the bodies of two children, Gelmarr dies that night, falling down some steps and breaking his neck. Aggar and Gynir are also found dead in the following days. Although he has no evidence, Theon condemns Farlen for the deaths and personally executes the kennelmaster. Theon later recollects that Reek was responsible for the murders.[2]

A Dance with Dragons

As more men turn up mysteriously dead in Winterfell Theon Greyjoy thinks to himself that it all seems so familiar, like a mummer show that he had seen before. Except this time the mummers have changed, Roose Bolton is playing the part that Theon once played and the dead mean are playing the parts of Aggar, Gynir Rednose, and Gelmarr the Grim.[3]
