Zahrina is a slave trader from Yunkai. She purchases cheap slaves for fighting, meat for heroes according to a slave Tyrion Lannister talked to. She is either the owner or proprietor of the Purple Lotus winesink in Meereen.

Tyrion spots her in the crowd when he is on the auction block outside of Meereen. During the auction she bids (unsuccessfully) on Lot ninety-seven: Tyrion Lannister, Penny, Pretty Pig and Crunch and later on Lot ninety nine: Ser Jorah Mormont (also unsuccessfully).

Tyrion refers to her as a crone or a hag. She is old and shriveled. Her face is wrinkled, when she is displeased it puckers. Zahrina's skin is maggot white and her hair so thin that her scalp can be seen beneath it.[1][2] At the slave auction she is wearing a violet tokar.[1] At the Purple Lotus she wears a dark red tokar fringed with tiny golden skulls.[2] Tyrion thinks she looks like a prune gone to mold.[1]

A Dance with Dragons

She is present at the Yunkai slave market auction set up outside Meereen. She bids by usually adding "and one" to the last bidders price which annoys the slave auctioneers but they allow the bids. At the slave market, she attempts to purchase Tyrion Lannister, Penny, Pretty Pig and Crunch, but gives up the chase at three thousand. She later attempts to purchase Ser Jorah Mormont, but is outbid here as well by Yezzan zo Qaggaz, after Tyrion Lannister convinces Yezzan's overseer Nurse that Mormont is part of their show.[1]

When Quentyn Martell, Gerold Drinkwater and Archibald Yronwood meet with the Tattered Prince, they agree on the Purple Lotus as the location for their meet-up. In this winesink, Zahrina comes up to them and directs them to the cellar. Zahrina offers patrons food, but according to the Tattered Prince the bread is stale and her stew is unspeakable.[2]
