The hunt of the Poor Fellows was a campaign during the Faith Militant uprising.

History

Late in 45 AC, the forces of King Maegor I Targaryen hunted down scores of Poor Fellows that had taken refuge in the kingswood. Many were sent to the Wall to join the Night's Watch while those who refused to take the black were hanged.

The Poor Fellows were being led by Poxy Jeyne Poore, a woman considered a witch by the three septons of Maegor's retinue. She constantly eluded the king until she was eventually betrayed by three of her followers. The betrayers were pardoned and granted them knighthoods.

Maegor the Cruel ordered that Jeyne be burned alive in a field by the Wendwater.
