[edit]Daenerys Targaryen weds Khal Drogo, becoming his khaleesi.[3] After the khal dies and dragons are hatched amidst his funeral pyre, Dany becomes the leader of a remnant of his Dothraki khalasar.[4]
A Clash of Kings
[edit]Daenerys thinks of the Dothraki sea of central Essos as a great grass sea.[5]
A Dance with Dragons
[edit]Missandei includes Khaleesi of Great Grass Sea among the various titles of Dany, who now rules the city of Meereen along Slaver's Bay.[2]
