Lady Piper's maester was a maester brought to Pyke by Lady Piper, the third and final wife of Lord Quellon Greyjoy.[1] His name is not mentioned.
History
Having wed Lord Quellon Greyjoy at Pinkmaiden Castle,[2] Lady Piper moved to Pyke, bringing with her a maester.[1]
While Lord Quellon and his three oldest sons, Balon, Euron and Victarion Greyjoy, were away fighting in Robert's Rebellion, Urrigon Greyjoy lost half his hand playing the finger dance with his younger brother, Aeron. Their stepmother, Lady Piper, sent them her maester, who insisted on sewing Urrigon's fingers back on instead of treating the amputation. Urrigon's hand became infected, so he unsuccessfully tried to save his hand with potions before eventually having to amputate his arm, but it was already too late, and Urrigon died at the age of fourteen as a result of the infection.[1]
After his return to the Iron Islands, Balon heard what had happened to his brother. As an act of revenge, he commanded the same treatment be used on the maester, cutting three of his fingers and forcing Lady Piper to sew them back on. Lady Piper died not long after while giving birth to a stillborn daughter, while the maester died raving.[1]
