The old inn on Eel Alley[1] is an inn in King's Landing.[2] Its location is well away from watchful eyes.[1]
Layout
Found halfway up Visenya's Hill, the establishment is a rambling old place on Eel Alley. Some of its rooms have a view of the Blackwater Rush and the rooftops of King's Landing.[2] Lord Varys considers it a dismal hovel.[2]

History
After Ser Jaime Lannister earned his knighthood against the Kingswood Brotherhood, he stopped at King's Landing before returning to Casterly Rock. His twin sister, Cersei Lannister, visited Jaime at the inn off Eel Alley, with Cersei dressing as a simple serving wench so she could evade the guards of their father, Lord Tywin Lannister. The incestuous twins spent the night together, with Cersei convincing Jaime to join the Kingsguard and thereby remain close to her in the capital and avoid marrying Lysa Tully.[3]

A Game of Thrones
After they disembark the Storm Dancer, Lady Catelyn Stark and Ser Rodrik Cassel move into the modest old inn halfway up Visenya's Hill. The inn was suggested by the ship's captain Moreo Tumitis. Catelyn pays a copper to the two crewmembers who help with the traveler's chests.[2]
After Rodrik leaves to find Ser Aron Santagar at the Red Keep, Catelyn stays away from the common room and tries to get some sleep. She is woken by the City Watch of King's Landing, who show her a seal depicting a mockingbird in grey wax—the sigil of Lord Petyr Baelish. As she prepares to accompany the soldiers to the Red Keep, Catelyn wonders how Petyr knew she was in King's Landing and settles on Moreo as the culprit. When Catelyn asks Petyr how he knew she was in the city, he tells her that Lord Varys knows all. Varys explains that Rodrik has returned to the inn with Aron, and that the two are drinking in the common room while waiting for Catelyn to return.[2]
A Feast for Crows
Some time in the middle of the night, as Ser Jaime Lannister is standing vigil over his father Tywin's funeral bier in the Great Sept of Baelor, Queen Regent Cersei Lannister visits her twin with news of the refusal of their uncle, Ser Kevan Lannister, to become Hand of the King. Cersei is in disguise, dressed as a tavern wench. She asks Jaime if he remembers the first time she came to him like this, in some dismal inn off Weasel Alley. Jaime corrects her, saying it was Eel Alley.[3]
