A Clash of Kings
Four men sent with the red cloaks of Ser Cleos Frey attempt to free Ser Jaime Lannister from his cell at Riverrun. They are partially successful, getting Jaime out of his cell. However, the Tully guards catch on and attempt to stop him. Jaime slays Poul and Myles, the squire of Ser Desmond Grell, before being recaptured.[1]
Behind the Scenes
Poul's name may came from author Poul Anderson, whom George R. R. Martin read in his youth.[2]
